Upper School Application Process
Alverno Heights Academy is now accepting applications for incoming freshmen, transfer students and international students applying for the 2021-2022 school year! STEP 1: COMPLETE THE APPLICATION
The Early Application Deadline, with an application fee of $75, is Thursday, December 10, 2020 (Application fee is $100 after Dec 10). All that must be completed by this date is the “Application Form” and “Application Fee.” The remaining family items may be submitted until the Regular Application Deadline of Friday, January 22, 2021.
The Alverno Application is broken up into the following sections: Application Form, Application Fee, Student Recommendation, Parent Recommendation, Teacher Recommendations, Principal Recommendation, Transcripts and the Interview. Due to Covid-19, HSPT and ISEE scores will not be considered during the 2021-2022 review process. Therefore, transcripts, recommendations and the interview will be imperative.
STEP 2: ADMINISTRATOR, MATH, AND ENGLISH TEACHER RECOMMENDATION FORMS
Alverno requires that each applicant submit at least three recommendations for admissions. Each applicant must submit an administration recommendation form completed by your daughter’s head of school/principal, middle school director or counselor. The teacher recommendation forms should be e-mailed to your daughter’s current English and mathematics teachers. Additional recommendations may be submitted from a student’s pastor, academic coach, or other mentor.
All forms must be received directly from the recommender through the SchoolAdmin system. You may access the recommendation forms after completing the Application Form and submitting your application fee.
STEP 3: REQUEST A COMPLETE TRANSCRIPT FROM CURRENT SCHOOL
The Transcript Request Form Should be submitted to your daughter’s current school. The transcript must include her 6th, 7th, and first trimester of 8th grade. Transcripts (including Standardized Test scores) must be sent directly to Alverno Heights Academy.
STEP 4: ADMISSIONS INTERVIEW WITH A MEMBER OF ALVERNO’S ADMINISTRATION, FACULTY, OR STAFF
Once your application is submitted, you will schedule an interview for a 30-minute slot on Thursday, February 4, 2021 between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Both student and Parent(s)/Guardian(s) will participate in the 30 minute interview.
NOTIFICATION Day: Friday, MArch 5, 2021
Once all application materials have been received and an interview has been completed, Alverno will review and make decisions during the month of February. Families will be notified by Friday, March 5, 2021 of their acceptance decision.

Admitted students will have one final opportunity to visit Alverno Heights Academy before making their enrollment decision.
Commitment Deadline: Monday, March 15, 2021
Students who wish to enroll at Alverno Heights Academy for the 2021-2022 school year must submit their Enrollment Contract, Enrollment Commitment and Tuition Acknowledgement Letter, Variable Tuition Agreement (if applicable), and $1,000 non-refundable tuition deposit by Monday, March 15, 2021.
Please note that the tuition deposit of $1,000 is non-refundable and will be applied towards your 2021-2022 tuition account. It may be paid by check or credit card.
ALVERNO placement exam: Spring 2021
In lieu of the HSPT and ISEE, all registered incoming freshmen will take an exam to assist in class placement.
